This is a project presented today in my special topics studio: Sacred Ground.
It is a temporary structure designed for a public address given by the Dalai Lama. The site is a parking lot in Boston, MA, across the street from Fenway Park and is intended to not disrupt the current conditions of the site. My design address the ideas of Boundary, Visual and Acoustical Connections, and Materiality.
I may post a few models later on, but for the time being I do not have them digitally documented. Feedback from both critics were very helpful, and they both stated it was a strong project as it is, however there are a few technical aspects to the design I would change if more time for the project were appropriated. As it site I am very happy with the design I have established.
